The funniest summer is in Secuoya
Between the hidden camera joke and the street competitions, a new program produced by Secuoya Content arrives in the afternoons of TVE-1, in which humor -and money- comes to meet you. No matter where you are in Spain, no matter what you are doing, our team of nine comedic host will not be far away, always ready to surprise you and when you least expect it, drag you to the contest and make you participate in their hilarious games. Each game begins with a surprise, conveniently orchestrated, in which an anonymous person suddenly becomes part of the show: you must answer a series of quick questions to be able to win prizes … on the spot, on beaches, shopping centers, water parks, in the squares and streets of any city, from Galicia to Murcia and from the Pyrenees to Costa del Sol.
You never know when the hosts of the program may appear. They can show up in the table where a couple is having dinner in a completely full restaurant. They can set up a complete quiz-show in the elevator of a parking lot where each floor will hide a different prize or pretend that they give the correct answers while they are thrown by a gigantic slide. Or they may surprise you through a talking dog!
Based on the British format “Ready or Not” broadcasted on BBC-1, the space offers us in just one hour a day to earn a lot of money with eight fun games with the most diverse team of contestants: the pedestrians. Each game will be preceded by a surprise under two modalities: a hidden camera, a capture of the participants in the street. After the initial surprise, each game has its own mechanic but all of them under the same premise: change successful general culture responses for cash.
THE LIFT: MANU SÁNCHEZ
The lift game starts with a hidden camera. A person who is quietly shopping in a mall, leaving their car in a parking lot or going up to his hotel room, calls the lift. When the lift arrives, the door opens and the person meets with Manu Sánchez and the cameras. You are in a contest and if you want to get cash you must answer correctly the general culture questions that Manu Sanchez will ask.
ONE, TWO, THREE SURPRISE!: LUIS LARRODERA
“One, two, three, surprise!” This game also starts with a hidden camera. A hook for people, who is nicely taking a walk through the main square of their city, with the excuse of doing a survey and puts him back to the decorated-truck, which remains covered until then. When the contestant turns around, he meets Luis Larrodera saying: “Hi, you are in a television contest!” From that moment on, if the contestant wants to win some cash, he will have to answer with success the different questions that Larrodera plans.
CATCHED BY THE ICE CREAM TRUCK: LEONOR LAVADO
In this game, the host goes to the places with a total summer atmosphere, with an “Ice Cream” Truck and rings the bell so that everyone who would like to play can join the game….
ADRENALINE: ADRIANA ABENIA
Adriana goes to amusement, thematic and aquatic parks, circuits, zip lines, jumps, etc…
She will convince several people, who are going through a stressful situation, to participate in the contest, which is played in one of the attractions of the park itself.
Adriana, will ask a question with multiple answers (like “Pedro Almodóvar’s Movies). The contestant must answer all the questions correctly while going down a slide, going upside down on a roller coaster, falling down a tube full of water or being the co-pilot of a car going 200 km per hour.
THE MAN ENIGMA: RAÚL CANO
In this game, the host is dressed in a yellow maillot with a big question mark on it. He travels through the main streets of several cities, those in which are many people, stopping potential contestants.
He asks all kinds of quick and simple questions with only one possible answer. If it is response correctly, a specific amount of money is earned. If you do not get it right, you will not win anything. Before, during and after the question Mr. Enigma Man makes jokes, interacts with the contestants in different tones: from the purest comedy to a less acted closeness.
THE MOLE MAN: ALBERTO ARRUTY
“The Mole Man” also part of a hidden camera game. The host is hidden under the table of a restaurant, hidden in a market fruit stand or hidden between the plants of a nursery. He suddenly appears between two people who are dining or buying, giving them the shock of his life and tells them that they are in a contest. The mechanics of the game is as follows. Alberto, whose head is only showing up, will be asking questions to each other. For every right guess achieved, they will earn a specific amount of money.
HOT SANDS: AMANDA PARAGRAPH AND DAVID LOVE
Amanda Párraga and David Amor pose a fun game in Spain’s beaches: they exchange successful general culture answers for cash.
LOOK WHOSE TALKING: TERESA SÁNCHEZ
It is a complete hidden camera. An older woman, to whom Teresa Sánchez gives life, for a person in the street, asking her for a favor (“Stay with my dog while I do some shopping”, “Hold this garbage bag while I bring the bucket”) Once the object in question, is in the hands of the passer-by, a speaker simulates that the object (dog, bag) can speak and, in fact, it is the one who poses the questions to be answer correctly.
